In Seattle
Last Monday, I flew to Seattle. I enjoyed a witty book called The Eyre Affair on the plane, and also meditated and studied a tiny bit of Ruby. At the airport, my luggage showed up very quickly (for luggage), and I got picked up by my friends Abigail, Laura, and Paula. They took me to my temporary apartment, and we hung out there for a short time before getting supper at a Chinese place. It was my first time eating Mu Shu Pork, which tasted amazingly like food. I would eat it again.
For the rest of the week, I have been busy settling into my apartment, but mostly buying things. For instance, I have bought a variety of groceries, a dish drainer, a recycling bin, a sponge stick, and a car. I have pretty nearly settled on an apartment, and hope to pin down the details soon. Also, I have made a step toward escaping Wells Fargo, and opened a credit union account. Let's hear it for credit unions!
On Monday, I start work. I'm hoping to take the bus, but if necessary I will drive until I can develop a cleaner routine. The bus should work fine, though.
I have also responded to comments requesting details about my adventure with the drain plug. See the Abbey post's comments if interested.
