He looks so depressed! Sad...
I'm no expert at reading cyclope facial expressions, but I thought he looked more thoughtful, or perhaps even sardonic. "Just what do they expect me to do with this?" Or maybe just, "Now is there anything I could do with this odd contraption?"
You may be right, though, in which case I offer the cyclope my sympathies.
He's probably lamenting that he's never seen anything in three dimensions anyway. ;-)
